About Us
The idea of Plagige Project started as a result of the increasing number of well documented cases of misrepresentation of Georgian cultural heritage and history that have not been addressed so far.
Therefore, the project became a response to the need to communicate real, true and non-tailored facts on the cultural heritage and history of Georgia to the international community. Our goal is to take specific actions to address these cases of misrepresentation of Georgian cultural heritage and history. We hope to achieve our goal by identifying and collecting cases of misrepresentation of the Georgian cultural heritage and history, addressing them (where possible) with the help of experts and/or historical proofs, and making them available to public.
We believe and hope that this project would increase awareness on misrepresentation of the Georgian cultural heritage and history, and as a result would decrease such cases in the future.
We have already started our research and collected several cases of misrepresentation of Georgian cultural heritage and history that are left unknown to the public and more importantly unresponded by experts.
Currently we have been accumulating information on misrepresentation of Georgian cultural heritage and history at our website and trying to address them, but eventually they will be compiled in a book.
